about.

Hi! I'm Angelia, just a girl with a deep love for being in the kitchen. I am a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, where I am currently based, and I hold an undying love for the city of Cleveland. I recently graduated from THE Ohio State University and am taking a year off before I head to law school, which means plenty of time in the kitchen.

I remember my first attempt at baking. I was eight, had just received a kids' cookbook for Christmas, and really wanted to try out a recipe for peanut butter cookies. Easy enough. Except I thought baking soda was an acceptable substitute for baking powder. And I probably didn't measure correctly. The cookie sheet turned into a one, big oozing glob of peanut butter cookie dough. I promise I've gotten better since then.

Now, I use baking as an escape from life's everyday stresses (and as an excuse to eat a lot of dessert). The name Peanut Butter Poppies originates from my straight-up addiction to peanut butter. I am pretty indifferent towards poppies, but I like the way the word sounded with "peanut butter". If poppies were made of peanut butter, they would definitely be my favorite flower.

It would make my heart very happy if you would follow my blog and try out these recipes for yourself! I've been spending a lot of time working out each one, and it is a pleasure to finally be able to share them.
